UW CIRCLE Student Web App is a Web Application focused to work as a centralized information hub for the international students, especially during the onboarding process. It aims to better serve the international community at the University of Washington.

This web application can address the challenges faced by international students. It helps students to navigate a decentralized institution like the UW and find different resources across the campus.

Background

I volunteered at UW’s international student center CIRCLE for two years. The experience of being CIRCLE ambassador and offering advising services at the UW CIRCLE office inspired me to do this project.

The University of Washington is home to a considerable population of international students.

Problem: International Students' Challenges

In a decentralized university like the UW, each department operates independently with its own set of functions and access to information. It's challenging for students to gather information. This often leads to confusion as students navigate administrative tasks across various departments, especially during onboarding.
Solution

We developed a web app that consolidates information on various international student-related websites and resources into one platform.
